The design-build approach is a modern-day project delivery system that effectively collaborates the designers and contractors into one entity. This method overcomes the often-adversarial relationship between the designer and contractor. CES has developed a strong and effective design-build business model, in which the contribution of designers come from their knowledge and experience in design and construction. Our understanding of construction methods, permitting, scheduling, and budgeting allows us to design projects, while reducing cost and schedules. This cradle-to-grave understanding of a project development has allowed our staff to develop phased schedules for large scale projects where we effectively perform design and construction operations in parallel. These schedule compressions allow for faster delivery times and a reduction in overall project cost.
