The Department of Veterans Affairs awarded CES a $1.2M Design/Build Pool Renovation project. The existing pool was to be converted into a recreational facility for the veterans stationed at the VA Hospital in Miami. The work involved four major phases: construction, demolition, site work, and finishes. Within these phases, the major scopes of work performed included:
- Demolition: Concrete pool, area concrete, curbs, landscape, irrigation, partial roof system on existing roof, pool equipment, related asbestos, pool plumbing, electrical systems, site drainage, and restroom facilities
- Site Installation: New drainage lines, sanitary lines, new water lines, irrigation systems, stained concrete, fill material, footer for pavilion, columns, and kitchens
- Finishing Installation: Masonry units, stone units, cast-in-place concrete, roofing systems, doors, hardware, windows, louvers, restroom fixtures, storage room fixtures, framing systems, gypsum boards, food service equipment, and regulation basketball equipment
- Miscellaneous Items: Plaster, paint and pressure wash
All work was completed according to the project specifications.
